Carl began his career with Bradex Insurance Brokers Limited in 1990. During his 25+ years in Financial Services, Carl’s roles have included Commercial Mortgage/Insurance Broking and Independent Financial Advice before concluding his career with Bradex as Managing Director with responsibility for business to business sales and the eventual sale of the business to a high street chain.

Carl’s role with Begbies Traynor PLC and its subsidiary W3 Debt Solutions LLP had been brought about by the company’s future expansion strategy. His main objectives were to grow businessvolumes by actively seeking professional introducers within the financial services market.

Carl was made redundant from Begbies Traynor Group in 2008, and started working on a freelance sales basis as a business development manager and management consultant throughout the North West using the trading name Positive Business Development. Covering areas such as Bury, Bolton, Rochdale, Oldham, Manchester, Cheshire, Preston and Lancashire. His clients are as diverse as a small retail outlet that needed a sales and marketing plan, to a digital design company and a national community and business website

Carl is also a Business Mentor in Lancashire and has worked with NWDA Guardian Angel mentor scheme for local established businesses and more recently the East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce Scheme helping the unemployed into self employment, as part of the Volunteer Mentor programme. Carl says "This is my opportunity to give something back".

In the last four years Carl has worked with many different businesses, from individuals, Limited Companies, Community Interest Companies and PLC's. Carl continues to work within financial services, mentoring a number of IFA's through the difficult transitions 2011 and 2012 has brought, and maintaining a role as a Commercial Insurance Broker with a provincial brokerage.

He is also working with a creative inventor in the auto motive industry and will be assisting in the release of a really useful new car part in the coming months, along side helping a building maintenance and repair company grow not only their sales but put the necessary risk management procedures in place.
